FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES
1.) Safety and general assistance and services
for tourists.
2.) Suppress and solve criminal problems and
protect the local and international tourists.
3.) Settle conflicts before they escalate.
4.) Facilitate and provide both Filipino and
international tourists with security and protection
of their interests.
5.) Facilitate and provide both Filipino and
international tourist with adequate service
and assistance at all times.
6.) Readiness. Secure the area of responsibility.
7.) Participation in environmental protection
and work hand in hand with responsible government
units like for example Department of Environment
and Natural Resources and the LGU's.
8.) Apprehend illegal fishers.
9.) Promote the Philippine Tourism Industry.
10.) Join with or support any activities of
the authorities concerned.
11.) Assist and act comparative in case of
emergencies for example Emergency First Response/CPR,
Self Defense and Search and Rescue..etc,
12.) Being aware of the role and characteristics
of a tourist police member and show professionalism
at all times, even when off-duty. |

MAJOR POLICIES
1.) To establish a good image and good reputation
for the tourist police/PNP.
2.) To earn respect, acceptance, and trust
from the local and foreign tourists as well
as the general public. These must be one of
the biggest goals.
3.) To show unity in the group, unifying the
tourist police force so that they willingly
carry out their official duties in the right
way, providing service convenience, and safety
for tourists as if they where family members.
4.) To promote good understanding among people
in the tourism business so they realize the
importance of preserving and reviving natural
resources so that they can cooperate in helping
correct the problems of environmental deterioration.
5.) To promote and develop local tourism with
further cooperation with the private and the
public sectors, protecting tourists from being
treated unfairly and providing modern and
up-to-date services.
6.) To support and improve administration
in the organization so that the staff are
well trained and more knowledgable, which
will enable them to work effectively, live
happily and do a great job. |
