Bohol at the heart of the Philippines

Panglao Island, south-west of Bohol

INTRODUCTION

Philippine Airlines, the country's flag carrier, links Manila to 26 cities and in 19 countries worldwide. Manila's strategic location makes it a vital point on major international routes. There are 28 international airlines presently servicing Manila. Daily flights from United States West Coast and the Midwest are serviced by four airlines. United Airlines, Northwest Airlines, Continental Airlines and Philippine Airlines.
A number of airlines also fly from Europe to Manila such as Air France, Swissair, Lufthansa and from Asia-Pacific, the following airlines service Manila: Korean Air, Cathay Pacific, Thai Airways, Singapore Airlines, Continental Airlines, Northwest Airlines, British Airways, and etc.
Cebu City's international airport on Mactan Island plays more and more a dominant role offering convenient routes. Please check with your travel agent which would be the best route for you in order to get to us at the arrival date. In case you need to stay a night in Manila or Cebu please don't hesitate to contact us diving@phildivers.com We will recommend reasonable and safe accommodations.

How to get to Philippine Islands Divers in Bohol

There are several ways getting to Tagbilaran (Capitol city of Bohol). If you came in trough Manila the fastest way is a connecting flight with PAL= Philippine Airlines or Cebu Pacific. The flight time with PAL and Cebu Pacific is 1h15min. PAL uses Boeing 737 and Cebu Pacifc DC 9 aircrafts. Please find the schedules and telephone numbers under Flight Schedules.
If you have more time, take a ship from Manila seaport. WG&A and Negros Navigation are the to shipping lines I would like to recommend. It takes about 24 hours to get to Tagbilaran. The ships are comfortable and if you're on a tight budget for Peso 400 (Economy class)to 800 (Tourist Class) you will for sure get here. Please find the schedules and telephone numbers under 'Boat Schedules'.

If you enter the Philippines through Cebu/Mactan before getting to Tagbilaran you can again choose from different transportation's. The easiest way is boarding a fast craft. OCEANJET and WEESAM are providing schedules throughout the day, 7 days a week. It takes 2.0 hours to get to Tagbilaran. All vessels are air-conditioned. Ticket prices are Peso 350 to Peso 520. Please find the schedules and telephone numbers under Boat Schedules.
Another alternative to get a ride from Cebu is a slow ferry. Trans Asia, Cokaliong and Lite Shipping will bring you here in 4 hours.

Arrived in Tagbilaran we will provide you with a transfer service. This should be pre-arranged. Even on the arrival day we can still arrange a transfer for you. It takes 30 min to get to the resort/dive center.
If you would like to come by yourself you can normally find taxis at the airport or sea port. Private cars are offering their services but I tell you honestly it is still a hassle every once in a while.
